To all of my friends in Boston: seeing our fair city in a state of lockdown is something that I never could have imagined. Boston is the Cradle of Liberty, and the very idea that we are now being made to fear walking down Boylston Street or Mass Ave brings me an overwhelming sadness. I remember taking midnight strolls from Fenway to Berklee and never feeling afraid, and now we can't even walk these streets during the day without looking over our shoulders. Please, stay safe, but I hope you won't live in fear. I, for one, am excited to be back in Boston on Sunday and to show that nothing will keep me away from my beloved city. For anyone who has ever called Boston home knows:
